Introducing Femly Box and the Founder, Arion Long

Femly Box is an organic feminine products company based in Washington DC and founded by Arion Long, also the CEO. Long started Femly soon after she experienced a series of medical related issues. She was first diagnosed with a cervical tumor which would end up being linked to the chemicals found in the popular period products she used at the time. Unfortunately, she later lost her daughter, Sage, in a stillbirth delivery.

Further complications followed which saw her placed on life support. As a testament to overcoming these medical related setbacks, while still recovering after discharge from the hospital, Long miraculously managed to raise $10,000 for her company. Furthermore, she went on to win funding in 6 figures in the weeks that followed. On November 8th 2018, she was crowned the winner of the MasterCard Grow Your Biz Contest in association with Bank of America, at the Final Event in New York City.

Femly Box products are 100% cotton without additives. The company’s aim is to manufacture products that are healthier and Eco-Friendly. Items for sale therefore include, the Femly Cup, Trio Bundle, Day Pads, Night Pads and Panty Liners. Worth noting is that they are 3 times absorbent.

Not only does the company pay attention to quality during manufacture but also factors in women with health challenges such as PCOS and Endometriosis. How the company has adopted to the Covid-19 pandemic

In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, the company is diligently following Guidance and Best Practices from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Secondly, KN 95 and FDA registered Mask Bundles have been available for sale. Thirdly, daily cleaning routines have been increased at their premises including mandatory face masks. Packaging and Shipping Equipment are also cleaned.

Moreover, Femly Box has been working with remote contractors on an as-needed basis to support the local economy. As a result, they have since provided over $1250 in no-strings grants to small businesses and everyday citizens in need. Finally, the company is working with USPS, Fedex and UPS to ensure a no contact delivery for all orders.
