Uganda
Uganda, affectionately known as the Pearl of Africa, is a landlocked East African country bordered by Kenya, South Sudan, DRC, Rwanda and Tanzania. The country is famed for its natural landscape comprising of Lake Victoria, the snow-capped Ruwenzori Mountains, wildlife and rare birds. In addition, Uganda is known for its culture, existing monarchy-the Buganda Kingdom, night life, traditional dress and food.
The name Pearl of Africa first came about in Winston Churchill’s book, My African Journey, published in 1908. This was after Churchill’s 1907 trip to Uganda. Mesmerized by what he encountered and saw in the country, he wrote;
“For magnificence, for variety of form and color, for profusion of brilliant life — bird, insect, reptile, beast — for vast scale — Uganda is truly “the Pearl of Africa.”
One Love Beach Busabala
One Love Beach Busabala is a beach property and travel destination owned by popular Ugandan music artiste turned politician, Robert “Bobi Wine” Kyagulanyi and his wife, Barbie Itungo Kyagulanyi (pictured together above) in Busabala, Wakiso District.
The property is located just a kilometre off the Entebbe Express Highway from Munyonyo Express Highway Roundabout on the shores of Lake Victoria. In addition, visitors have a wide range of activities to choose from such as fun games, boat cruises, weddings, camping, music concerts, outreaches, small outings and family day out.
